A Memorial Day weekend full of Memories!

Another week down, the first half of it resting from our whirlwind trip to Idaho, the second planning an even quicker trip up to Vancouver. Tiffany and Corey found a new car up there, and hadn’t figured out a way to get up there without driving themselves up there, and driving two cars back. We found this to be a good opportunity to go see Great Grandma and Grandpa Nicholson, so we drove Tiff and Corey up after Darci picked out her wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses with the bridesmaids. Saturday we went and picked up Tiffany’s new beemer after looking it all over, then back to Great Grandpa’s beautifully manicured yard, and Tiffany took hundreds of pictures of Darci, Carly and me. After we got done with pictures, we said out goodbyes and loaded up and went to Multnomah Falls with Kevin (Corey’s Brother) Natalie and Elaina. Elaina and Carly seemed to have a great car ride from where we met up in Troutdale to the falls, they stared at each other the whole time Elaina talking and Carly cooing while trying to reach at Elaina. We spent a couple hours hiking around there, and then headed back towards Medford. We made stopped and had dinner in Eugene and then said goodnight to Tiffany and Corey so they could head home while Carly slept. I was exhausted, so Darci tried driving home, but we only made it about 20 miles before she conceded to her eyes, and we spent a few hours sleeping in the car. Needless to say we spent half of Sunday sleeping, but then we were invited to go play some cards with the group (Shane, Deanne, Greg, Shawna, Tifffany and Corey) as well as Whitney and Greg and Shane’s close friend from Redding “Uncle” John Favro. Once Darci had won our money back, we called it a night! Monday was another sleep in day, Memorial Day, we did a little wedding planning and had a relaxing day, and an early night after lunch with the group. This, as is every week, was a very blessed week! We thank God for every part of it every day!
