Sprint Car Races!!

We hit up the first race of the year at Southern Oregon Speedway, to watch Shane (Darci's Dad) and Greg (Darci's Uncle) run their new cars in the first race. Shane ran his Pinto in the Mini Stock class, and had a blast! In the first heat race he took 3rd, and the main he started on the pole, but drifted back with a flat front tire. Being his first race with the whole family out to watch him, he decided he couldn't stop, so he finished on a completely shredded tire and a grin from ear to ear! Greg went out for practice in his Super 4, but found that he was short on power. Once he got back to the pits he figured out that the problem was that he wasn't getting a good consistent spark. Hopefully the problem will be resolved with a new distributor and coil, we will see next race. Carly got to wear an awesome set of ear muffs that she borrowed from Eli (my Friend Ryon's youngest), and they worked great, she was completely content, well happily asleep. But when she woke up ready to eat, we figured out real quick that the ear muffs were not going to allow for that, so we went out to the back section of the track and found a nice shady spot in the grass where she could just wear her normal ear plugs and eat in peace. from the grass we found that the racing looked just as good, and decided to stay there and record Shane's races to make a little movie for him. All in all, a great time for everyone, and we look forward to more great Saturday nights with the Family at the track!
